Editorial Code of Ethics & Standards

Awaz Janadesh adheres strictly to the highest standards of professional journalism, democratic accountability, and the code of ethics outlined by the Press Council of India and Digital News Publishers standards.

1. Accuracy & Verification

All news reports must be verified through primary sources, official records, or on-ground correspondents. When reporting claims, reporters must seek response from all relevant parties involved.

2. Corrections Policy

If an inadvertent factual error occurs in any syndicated report or e-paper edition, Awaz Janadesh promptly issues an explicit correction with a timestamped editor’s note at the top of the article.

3. Conflict of Interest

Our editorial staff, reporters, and stringers are prohibited from accepting gifts, remuneration, or political patronage that could compromise the neutrality and objectivity of their reporting.

4. Sensitive Reporting Guidelines

Special care and dignity are observed when reporting on juveniles, crime victims, communal tensions, and vulnerable communities in compliance with statutory provisions.
